The models 8000 and 8100 were introduced in 1992 resp. 1995. You will find this model in many locations worldwide, as it still appears to work fine. If users can benefit from higher accuracy and repeatability, the this model can be replaced for one of the new model 8500-9800 with a trade in credit.
