9800 Insitu Gas Analyser

Short application description:User interface 8500 analyser

The model 9800 is a single reflection analyser and is used as an insitu process gas analyser in many industries, like in (natural) gas blending, in biogas or fermentation gas,  food packaging gas and generator cooling gas.

Introduction:

The RHOSONICS Model 9800 is the newest and most powerful instrument to measure the composition of your gases in-line. Thanks to the innovative electronics and sensor design, continuous on-line monitoring of gas mixtures is now possible with an extreme accuracy, virtually no maintenance and without moving or degrading parts.

The heart of the system is the cell, in which ultrasonic waves are being generated and received. This cell can be an externally mounted cell,  in a bypass, but may as well be a measuring section, where the gas is analysed while flowing through the pipe. Several probe designs facilitate the measurement of concentration inside tanks and pipes.

Applications in the main production process:

The Model 9800 unit is used in applications with gas mixtures and its only purpose is to determine the concentration of one of two gases. In case of a third gas, we need a second sensor, like NDIR, thermal conductivity electrochemical sensor.

Applications in the utilities around the main production process:

This model is used in the utilities around the process, for example:

  • Biogas measurement
  • Generator cooling gas (hydrogen, CO2 or N2 and air).
  • Food packaging (air in CO2 or N2)
  • CO2 for pig slaughtering industry
  • Anaesthetic gases
  • Welding gases
