Short application description:
The series 8700 analyser is designed only for non-ultrasonic sensors, like conductivity, pH or dissolved oxygen. The purpose of the analyser is to enable local display, settings and controll of dosing systems.

Introduction:
The RHOSONICS Model 8700 is the newest and most powerful instrument to measure the composition of your liquids, gases or slurries on-line. Thanks to the innovative electronics and sensor design, continuous in-line monitoring of fluid mixtures is now possible with an extreme accuracy, virtually no maintenance and without moving or degrading parts.
RHOSONICS has selected the highest quality conductivity, pH and DO sensors on the market. These sensors are now integrated in the well known soft touch screen controllers 8700.
The conductivity sensor is made from PEEK or CPVC and of the toroidal type (non-contacting). The sensor can be supplied as sanitary or normal sensor and can be of the type immersion, union, insertion.
The pH sensor is made from PEEK, Ryton or CPVC and of the glass type (general, HF glass, or client specific) with a protected or open sensor tip. The technology is differential pH, for very high stability, accuracy and reproducibility and less sensitivity for redox reactions.
Applications in the main production process: The Model 8700 unit is used in applications with aqueous solutions (like acids, bases) to determine the conductivity of the liquid, a measure of the total salt concentrations and sometimes acid concentration.
In case of a mixture of salts and acid, we can determine both concentrations by adding an ultrasound sensor to the process. The 9500 ternary analyser must be selected.
