8500 Series - binary liquid analysers

The model 8500 series is an ultrasonic concentration analyser that enables the accurate measurement of concentrations of chemicals. These analysers can be fruitfully applied to measure electrolyte solutions, liquid purity, and hydrocarbon concentrations in water. The model 8500 series allows measurement of nearly 100% of all single chemical solutions in water. It is the most reliable and most powerful instrument to measure the composition of industrial liquids. Thanks to its innovative electronics and sensor design, it allows for continuous in-line monitoring of diluted solutions with a very high degree of accuracy. Furthermore, these analysers lack moving or degrading parts, which means that virtually no maintenance is needed.

8500 Concentration Analyser

For in-line concentration measurement

The model 8500 series is a single-channel ultrasonic concentration analyser. This model has one ultrasonic sensor with an integrated temperature sensor to measure concentrations. Measurement is done by sending an ultrasonic wave through the liquid that is bounced off a reflector. By measuring the time it takes for the ultrasonic signal to return, the analyser can calculate the concentration of the liquid accurately.

8520 Concentration Analyser

Measurement for dual lines

The model 8520 series is a dual channel ultrasonic concentration analyser. The main difference between model 8500 and 8520 is that the latter can be fitted with two sensors. For example, you can use the model 8520 analyser if you wish to measure two identical lines with a single device. In this case the concentrations of both lines are displayed by a single analyser instead of two. This model can also be used in backup lines, so that production and measurement can continue when one line is shut down for maintenance. Furthermore, if you wish to measure a critical line, having a backup sensor can be helpful.

8550 Concentration Analyser

Non-intrusive concentration measurement

The model 8550 series prodives a dual channel ultrasonic concentration analyser. This model has two ultrasonic sensors, with integrated temperature sensors, to measure concentrations. The difference between model 8500 and 8520 is that this model requires two sensors instead of one. The sensors are installed facing each other. One transmits ultrasonic pulses while the other receives them. You would pick this device if you don’t want to have a sensor intrude into the liquid. Furthermore, as this device is fitted with two sensors, it offers a stronger solution than a device that relies on a signal being reflected back to the originating sensor instead of picked up by a dedicated second sensor.
