In close collaboration with Precision Light & Air, Australia, Rhosonics introduced the Model 9680 for tank clarity and mud profiling.  Model 9680 is particularly suited to high-scale and high temperate applications as seen in the Alumina and Nickel industries.

Model 9680 provides the analysis module of Precision Light & Air's core product, the SmartDiver sludge blanket level meter. This unique and reliable product provides real-time information about the clarity profile and the mud interface in settling tanks.

For clarifiers floatation units and decanters in various other industries, such as mining, waste water treatment plants and the oil industry, Rhosonics is a major solution provider of insitu automation of the separation process. Model 9680 is available as multi-channel instrument, with up to 4 sensor which are mounted at different levels in the separation tank. The analyzer is used to control inlet and/or outlet valves or pumps, to maintain the desired composition of the outlet streams.

 Applications include:

• Clarity of decanter overflow in suspension separation units
• Water in oil and oil in water monitoring in crude oil emulsion separators
• Emulsion thickness monitoring
